With a formal education in and a love of Fine Art and Eastern
Philosophy Ahmé Morningsong Bovee brings a unique style and personal
presence to this ancient art. "Mehndi" is the ancient art of decorating
the body with the natural and gentle henna plant. It is traditional
in India and Africa and is now becoming popular in North America.
Intricate and delicate designs to bold and symbolic shapes can
be created on the skin to give a "tattoo" effect. Ahmé creates
her designs "freehand" and every work is original and unique.
The designs are temporary, painless, safe and beautifully expressive. Ahmé currently works from her home in Guelph and is available
by appointment, for parties, to give instruction and as a source
of supplies.
