- Carol Parafenko is a self-taught oil painter who pays homage to the poignancy of the everyday world.
The subject matter of her paintings is inspired by her experiences in Guelph, Wellington, Brant and
- Lambton. A painterly style and photographic techniques like cropping, focus and careful composition
- are employed. The landscapes and people around her are captured in rich colour and brushwork.
She loves portraying the poetry of light and the changing of the seasons;
- quiet moments in the natural world.
In her professional life Carol Parafenko is a graphic designer, journalist,
- professional photographer and art historian.
