Sculptures in bronze, terracotta = fired clay, plaster.
Working in media such as clay, plaster, and wax - with castings done in bronze and cast iron allows a wide possibility of expressions. Beauty of form, Movement, Music, Compassion, Care, are important motives. Many commissions include children's and adult busts.
Hanna received her early training under sculptor Ingeborg von Rath and with Prof. Walter Buss in Duesseldorf, Germany.
Later, moving to Canada she joined the workshop of Toronto sculptor Frances Gage. Since 1972 she works from her studio, and teaches private classes for adults. Sculptures in collections in New York, NY., Washington, DC., Baltimore, MD, Toronto, Mississauga, Ottawa, Kitchener and Guelph, Ont., Berlin, Bonn, Duesseldorf and Munich, Germany.
