Jeanette Andersen has been drawing and painting since her teens. She is a realist and it shows in her scenic paintings,
which are done on canvas or wood. She uses mostly acrylic paint but loves to work in oils as well.

Her portrait drawings are in pencil but recently she has successfully ventured into charcoal sketching.
Jeanette's artistic bent is also illustrated in her antique renovations and other handcrafts such as quilting.

Her work is featured in September 2000 issue of Matriart Magazine.

Jeanette was born in Denmark, immigrated with her parents as a young child and attended schools across Canada.
She has lived in Guelph for the past 26 years and is the mother of three.

CALM QUIET DAY
When I begin a painting, the challenge for me is being able to put myself into the scene and believe that I am there.
