After years of working in many fields, travelling,
and returning to full time studies at university,
I am now settled into creating art full time. I lived along the
Atlantic coast for many years with my family.
There is nothing like the sound of crashing waves and the smell of
salty air filling your lungs to inspire creative work!
Years of living amongst the tide and flow has brought out a love of the
natural world in my work.
I am an avid admirer of the Surrealists (particularly Salvador Dali),
and am always exploring new ways of presenting the sea to viewers.
VIEW OVER LOCH 22" x 28" Acrylic
This painting reflects a strong sense of connection between earth and sky, land and sea. The rugged beauty of cliffs, rocks and sea evoke a feeling of solitude.
DARK WATER
16" x 20" Oil on Canvas This painting evolved from a photograph taken at the fall in Elora. The man seemed dangerously close to the edge, while fishing.
VIEW OVER MOOR 18" x 24" Oil This painting is the result of a trip to Scotland. The rocky, craggy landscape contrasts the soft, flowing spring water below.
