- Leaves are a constantly recurring theme in Leslie's art. It began while she lived under an old bur oak tree
- in Guelph. This tree was a wee sapling when Guelph was just being founded. Leslie enjoyed a cool house
- on the hottest summer days because of the big bur oak.
- Leslie has moved away from under the big bur oak. She wondered if her art would stop being about leaves if she
- was not living under that tree. So far there has not been a change.
- Leslie is a graduate of the fine art program at the U. of Guelph. She teaches adult evening courses, Beginning to Draw
- and Life Drawing, for the City of Guelph.
