I am a self taught artist and everything I paint comes from my own
imagination and natural creativeness not from any formal lessons received.
When I first started painting I designed and painted floorclothes which sold
well until I decided I didn't like everyone walking all over my art!
You will find that at times I jump from different styles of painting and
medias. That is simply because my mind is always brimming with ideas and I
want to try everything. I love to push myself and see what I am capable of.
Currently I am concentrating mainly on folk art depicting scenes of life in
Northern Ontario and children, both things I am very familiar with.
At present one of my Northern Ontario series paintings is to be auctioned at
the Conn Smythe Sportsman Celebrity dinner in Toronto in February with the
proceeds going to Easter Seals Society Ontario. I am a firm supporter of
non-profit organizations for children in Canada. I happily accept
commissions.
