- Laura Taylor believes that living can be art-full. Her pottery combines
- the need for the practical in life with beautiful designs and rich colours.
Pottery is a very intimate art form. A cup is brought to your mouth;
- a bowl is held in your hands. Beautiful pottery enhances the
- experiences of touching, serving and eating.
-
- Laura's love of clay and art began early, in London, Ontario - where she was born.
- She went on to the Emily Carr College of Art & Design in Vancouver where she studied clay.
-
- Upon graduating with a diploma in fine arts, Laura decided to make a full time
- vocation of her love of clay. She opened her first studio in Port Stanley.
- She then moved to Guelph where she is today. Laura Taylor Pottery
- is located in downtown Guelph at 25A Wyndham St. N.
- Laura feels blessed and lucky to be able to work at something she loves.
- Working with clay demands that she always play and change.
- Each hand made and hand decorated pot is unique as a result.
