SHIPWRECKED

A difficult day - literally - "shipwrecked" and picking up the pieces.
Diving into the feelings and surfacing.


EQUANIMITY
3 - 11.5" Square
Encaustic/Mixed Media on canvas/wood. Each third is part of the whole
story - glass is shattered by envy in the first, and responded to by the
otherimages and words hidden below the glass pieces.


IMPERFEKSHUN
2 - 5.5" x 5.5"
Encaustic/Mixed Media on Canvas/Wood.
Again, each section tells part of the story - this time centered on the
word 'imperfection'. I explore the positive aspects like creativity and imagination.


40 DAYS

Part of a daily meditation series - this piece was completed over 40 days
from January 3 - February 11, 2004. Each was a spontaneous response
to what was happening that day.


42 DAYS

Encaustic/Mixed Media on Wood/Canvas
Part of a daily meditation series, this piece was completed over 42 days
for the Autumnal Equinox 2003 until November 3. Each was a
spontaneous response to the events of the day.


16 DAYS

Encaustic/Mixed Media on Wood
Part of a daily meditation series, this piece was completed over 16 days
from February 12 to 27th, 2004.
Each was a spontaneous response to the day.


TOOTH & NAIL
2 - 7.5" x 7.5"
Encaustic/Mixed Media on Wood
This diptych has many layers; much is hidden or buried.
A tooth is tied onto the piece, nailed into place. Tenacity,
perseverance are the themeshere.
